Very Changeables ;)

If you are a brand that everybody loves and trusts; of course you would like to pay attention in every step you make in order to make your customer happy. But if you are a brand that only wants to make more money, in order to ignore what your loyal customer think, then "failing" is simply what you'll get.

I wrote a post earlier about the logos but this time, i would like you to catch up with the new logos that some brands have. My first example is our dearest Microsoft. We all see their new Windows 8 ads all over, and of course meet their new logo. I admit that this one looks futuristic and brought a new image to Microsoft, more related to the potentially high technology, so i liked it.

But some brands aren't that lucky. Last year GAP changed their logo, suddenly, and their customers got furious. They went back to the old one immediately, after people wrote bad reviews against this new logo on social media. This image below is really sarcastic!

Starbucks also kicked out its name out of its logo, but reviews show that people aren't also happy about this change.

Last but a happy new one is Pepsi's. They changed their neutral logo into a smiling one, it looks much better, isn't it?

Hey We Don't Have Christmas But...

Actually i'm writing this post because simply today i went to Starbucks and realize that in Turkey we really do have some attention on the christmas themed products. More clearly i could say that, having these multi-country brands help us think and feel that way. Of course, i knew these marketing strategies are working pretty well especially on the holidays in the Christian world, but in a Muslim country? How could they possibly do that?

I guess the reason is simple, we love themed marked products. I mean which would you buy rather: a classic mug like that you also probably won't even recognize during the year or a Christmas special one that only you and a few lucky people could own? It's all about the package and the theme. More clearly, these red and green colors reminds us that we're close to the end of the year; already reminds us that it's winter and cold and we should buy a grande 2012 winter special toffee nut latte. That's the deal, it's that easy and simple to raise up the selling in a non-Christian country. So how about grab a cup of coffee from Starbuck's now?
