Hollandalı KLM firmasının 2012 ile birlikte geliştirdiği bu sistemle, artık uçaklarda yanınıza oturacak kişiyi, Facebook, Twitter gibi sosyal medya profilleri üzerinden seçebiliyorsunuz. Yanlış duymadınız, KLM'nin resmi sitesindeki açıklamaya göre uçuştan 48 saat öncesine kadar yapılabilecek bu işlemle, uçakta sizin gibi profil bilgilerini paylaşan yolcular aracılığıyla, arkadaşlarınızın hangi koltukta oturduğunu görebilecek ve ona göre yer seçebileceksiniz. 

Burada akla takılan ilk düşünce gizlilik ilkesi olabilir. Bunun için şirket, profil bilgilerinizin uçuşunuz sonrası 48 saat içinde silineceği ve profil bilgilerinizin ne kadarının görüneceği bilgisinin kontrolünün de sizin elinizde olacağı açıklamasını yapmış durumda. Bu uygulama şimdiden kullanılmaya başlandı, kim bilir belki yakında Türk havayolu firmaları da bu sisteme geçer?

Airline companies are coming up with brand new creative ideas day by day, to eliminate the competition. And you can do this more in the service industry. Well, I know that i mention the importance of social media almost every post that i write, but every single day we run into some brilliant examples. Here's one of them: Meet&Seat!

Dutch airline company KLM created this system, by the beginning of 2012, now you can pick the person who's going to sit next to you during your flight. And you can pick them using social network such as Facebook, Twitter v.s. According to KLM's official page, with this system 48 hours before the flight, you can see the seats where your friends are sitting if only your friends share their profiles.

But there is one little problem that is the privacy. Well for that, company informs you that, your profile is gonna be deleted from the system in 48 hours after your flight departs and also you have the will to hide the parts of your profile. This service took place in many countries and still is being used. Maybe also turkish airline companies may want to try this out, who knows!
